Welcome

About Me

img_20160903_155838As a practitioner I support people through a wide variety of issues including life crisis, anxiety, stress, depression, parenting and bereavement.

I have worked for over forty years as a health professional in a variety of roles, as a nurse, midwife and health visitor. For the last 15 years I have broadened my training to include working as an Art Therapist and Biographical Counsellor. Having moved away from the NHS I have now set up my own private practice.

My work is informed and inspired by Anthroposophy, a science of the spirit founded and developed by Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian philosopher (1861-1925). Anthroposophy is a pathway of inner activity that leads to self-knowledge and the development of the human being. Both Biographical Counselling and Art Therapy look at the inner and outer challenges we face in our lives today.

I have a Diploma in Biographical Counselling, fully accredited by the BACP and a Diploma in Art Therapy, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am fully insured with Professional Liability Insurance.
