I offer Art Therapy as a way to explore your inner world by working creatively through the challenges of life such as illness, loss or depression. Art Therapy is a means of non-verbal communication in which personal issues can be discovered, addressed and worked through to move forward with new insights and creativity. I provide a warm, safe, calm environment in which a new direction can be discovered.
We will start with an initial assessment to determine the direction of the therapy. This enables me to plan for the artistic exercises and materials we will use, which could be painting, drawing or clay modelling. We will explore colour and take inspiration from rhythms found in nature, stories, poetry and fairytales.
I would recommend that we meet weekly for one hour for an initial period of 7 weeks. Towards the end of this time we will decide together how to proceed. All materials are provided and no previous artistic experience is required.
